Celebrate your success with a corporate anniversary book

Has your company reached a special a milestone? Why not celebrate your success with a book? I can produce a coffee table-style book to meet your brand and budget requirements.

The power of the story

A physical book, one you can hold in your hands, is special — far more so than a digital download. And, if your company has reached a special milestone, there’s no more powerful way to celebrate than with a book. Everyone loves a story, and I can tell yours — your beginnings, successes, funny stories, vision for the future.

Why a corporate anniversary book?

So, what are the benefits of commissioning a book to celebrate success? Well, there are many. Here are a few:

  • An ideal gift for employees and stakeholders
  • Preserves your historical record and ongoing legacy
  • Fosters employee pride
  • Highlights your achievements and vision for the future
  • Celebrates your company’s culture and values
  • Strengthens your company’s brand and reputation.

What’s the cost?

Every book I produce is different, so the cost varies. Once I have established your budget and requirements, I will provide you a detailed quotation that will outline all the steps. If you accept my quotation, I require a 50% deposit to get started.

What about ownership?

You will have complete ownership. Nothing is included in your book without your approval, and only you will have the right to distribute it.

“In 2014, Word Works was commissioned to ghost write a coffee table book to mark Airwork’s 30-year anniversary. They were professional, easy to work with and we’re thrilled with the final result”—Tania Cosham, Executive Assistant, Airwork New Zealand Ltd.

What’s the process?

There are several disciplines that come together to produce a book, including writing, proofreading, formatting graphic design and printing. I bring them together to produce the final product.

To hear your story, I’ll interview you and your team. I record the conversation to ensure I don’t miss anything and also to capture the correct tone and style of language.

I transcribe the interviews and begin writing your story. When I complete a chapter, I’ll send it to you for review. At this stage, you can make changes if necessary.

Once the text is complete, I get my proofreader to check for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and inconsistencies in formatting.

I bet you’ve got lots of great photos. I’ll ask you to supply copies of the photos you’d like to include in the book. Also, my graphic designer will create your book’s cover and any other images necessary.

Finally, the manuscript and images are formatted into a professional layout. I will supply you a PDF proof to check. Then, before your book goes to print, you will receive a physical sample of the text and cover for final sign-off.

This is the best part — you receive your books. In most cases, your books will be printed in New Zealand, so allow 7 – 10 days for delivery. If you require a large number of books, it may be more economical to print them overseas, so then allow 8 – 10 weeks.
